This week, I asked the Scottish Government why they continue to push the case for Scottish Independence when the SNP’s own Growth Commission report sets out a grim vision.

The report aimed to look at the economic future of Scotland should it become independent. What is shows is that we would face cuts year after year and uncertainty around our currency, which would, in turn, fall onto local communities.

It’s time that the Scottish Government accepts that it is time to stop focusing on holding a second independence referendum and instead look to tackle inequality, provide proper public services and work on growing our economy.
